This rainy wedding day just shows that even torrential rain can’t dampen the joy of getting married. Annie and Anthony were married on a summers day in the stunning Italianate Church in Wilton, Wiltshire, followed by a marquee reception in Annie’s parents back garden on the river. The day started bright but after the ceremony the rain just poured and kept on pouring! The boys all worked hard in the rain putting up another gazebo, which was hilarious to watch, while their family dog rain in and out and everyone laughed all day long. Annie wore a gorgeous lace dress by Pronovias, with her hair half up with gypsophila in it. Her hair and makeup was by So Beautiful Bridal. The bridesmaids wore champagne coloured dresses from Ghost. The marquee was left with a grassy floor which looked beautiful, and the table centres were pots of lavender, with floral napkins hand made by Annie. Everything was perfect.
I received this lovely note from Annie the bride: “Tarah, these are totally amazing! We have just finished going through them for the second time and feel like we’ve just relived our wedding! We can’t believe how many amazing moments you captured that had completely passed us by or we had forgotten about. I love the photo showing the expression on my dad’s face as he saw me in my dress, me pulling into the church grounds in the car and sticking my tongue out at my flower girls, the guests arriving at the church, everyone chatting and laughing during the canapé reception, our poor ushers putting up an extra gazebo in the pouring rain, the gorgeous flowergirls running around the marquee, our family dog taking it all in, and all the laughs and tears in between! I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed by the torrential rain and everyone being stuck inside the marquee, but actually it is these photos capturing us braving the mad English weather that have made us laugh the most and prove how much of an amazing and memorable day it was.”
You can’t rely on the weather, but this just shows that it really doesn’t matter. Because you get to marry the person you love more than anything around your friends and family. And no rain can spoil that.
