Hi, I’m Tarah and I am a wedding and portrait photographer. I’m a junk collector and eBay addict, geeky National Trust lover and oracle of random knowledge. I’m in love with a boy that I married in a wood, and now we live with Lion and Lady, our two fluffy rescue cats from London, a place we absolutely love.
Other things that I love: Netflix (especially crime dramas!). People watching in European cafes. Brighton and anywhere by the seaside. Ice cream on the beach. Thai curries and Pho soup. Animals. Gardens. BBQs on a hot summers day. Being bare foot on grass. Watching small live gigs. Pinterest. Photography and this job. And above all, my friends and family.
I specialise in creating beautiful, timeless, relaxed photographs of your day. I capture your day using a mixture of reportage and beautiful portraiture with a style people have describes fresh and modern, quirky and rustic, but above all natural and full of emotion.
Because my style is so flexible it doesn’t rely on having photographed at the same venue or being in the same area – every wedding is different and I am highly trained at working in all types of lighting conditions, at venues I have never seen before – 90% of the weddings you see on my website were venues I had not seen before the day and I actually only photograph a maximum of twice a year at the same venue so my clients get fresh creativity and images.
My aim is to be the easiest part of your day and I love that most wedding guests assume I am a friend rather than just the wedding photographer – it shows that I fit into your day and really manage to be discreet.
“Thank you for making our day so easy! You were an endless source of help before and on the day, always nearby if we needed you but somehow also melting into the background so we never felt awkward. We have been to friends weddings before where the photographer was so obvious, or bossy, but all our friends commented on how lovely you were to have around, making us all laugh and capturing such natural photos of our guests. We LOVE our portraits, how you managed to get Tom to stop gurning is beyond me, but you did and you also managed to make me look as happy and pretty as I felt on the day (which all the instagram photos from our friends were in danger of ruining!) We will recommend you to EVERYONE so that we get to see you again at least once a summer but also because you are incredibly talented. Thank you thank you thank you!!” Rachel & Tom
Due to my location I do a lot of weddings in London and the south of England and travel is included anywhere in the UK. I happily travel nationally and abroad to photograph weddings and love to do so, having so far photographed weddings in Ireland, France and Italy. If you would like me to be a part of your day then please do not hesitate to get in touch as I’d love to hear from you.
