Hackney Round Chapel wedding – Nathan & Alexis
This was my first Hackney Round Chapel wedding and wow, what a one to start with! Nathan and Alexis were married in the most movie-like wedding I have ever photographed. Nathan is a theatre director of Tangled Feet, Alexis is an actress, and they planned the most cinematic wedding experience ever with the help of the loveliest friends and family. It was truly epic.
Their ceremony was at Trinity House, with an incredible view of the Tower of London. This was followed by a hilarious ride on a couple of Routemaster buses to the wedding reception at Hackney Round Chapel, where guests ran between the buses at every red light to pour prosecco. Hackney Round Chapel is really a stunning venue, with incredibly high ceilings, and it barely needs any decoration inside. It was the perfect setting for the emotional speeches, flash mob first dance complete with confetti canons, followed by three acts – Jon the Speed Painter, Craig the Incredible Hula Boy, and then Alexis herself who changed into a red 50s dress to be cut in half in a box! Afterwards everyone joined in for a dance train while Alexis sang ‘Love Train’. If that wasn’t cool enough, Nathan then sung a solo for Alexis, followed by all the boys joining in for a chorus. Mista Cova Lova kept everyone dancing until the very end and then Nathan and Alexis exited through an arch of sparklers.
