"TARAH IS A PHOTO NINJA"

Hi, I’m Tarah, I’m a junk collector and eBay addict, geeky National Trust lover and oracle of random knowledge. I’m in love with a boy that I met in London, married in a wood in Norfolk, and now we live with our very fluffy rescue cats by the sea in Brighton. In November 2019 we added a baby boy to our lives via IVF and we think he’s pretty cool. The cats are still unsure.

HOW I WORK

I love photographing people – capturing all the little things which make them unique, which in turn makes every wedding day individual. Wedding days can be stressful but I love ones where a bit of rain isn’t going to ruin it, where my clients grab the umbrella and go out anyway, where they’re not fazed by me chasing golden light across a field for that one image. I’m lucky to have clients that really trust me, and because of that I honestly have the best job in the world.

MY STYLE

My aim is to be the easiest part of your day and I love that most wedding guests assume I am a friend rather than just the wedding photographer – it shows that I fit into your day and manage to be discreet but friendly.

I specialise in creating timeless, relaxed and honest photographs of your day using a mixture of reportage and portraiture with a style people have described as fresh, modern, quirky and rustic, but above all natural and full of emotion.

Because my style is so flexible it doesn't rely on having photographed at the same venue or being in the same area - every wedding is different and I am highly trained at working in all types of lighting conditions, at venues I have never seen before - 90% of the weddings you see on my website were venues I had not seen before the day and I limit the number of times a year I photograph at the same venue so my clients get fresh creativity and images each time.

I have photographed weddings all over the UK, France, Italy and Ireland but have recently started limiting myself to Sussex/Surrey/London and Kent so there are less Premier inns and more beach time on Sundays!
